Where installed in wet locations, the surface of the seat shall be slip resistant and shall not accumulate water. Function key surfaces shall have tactile symbols as follows: Enter or Proceed key: raised circle; Clear or Correct key: raised left arrow; Cancel key: raised letter ex; Add Value key: raised plus sign; Decrease Value key: raised minus sign. 804.3.3 Exposed Surfaces. Clearances around water closets and in toilet compartments shall comply with 604.3. In the case of historic preservation programs, such as an historic house museum, alternative methods include using audio-visual materials to depict portions of the house that cannot otherwise be made accessible. At least one turning space complying with 304 shall be provided on the same level as play components. The provisions of Chapter 8 shall apply where required by Chapter 2 or where referenced by a requirement in this document. 704.2 Wheelchair Accessible Telephones. Piers may be reconfigured to allow an increase in the number of wider finger piers, and serve as accessible boat slips. (ii) Only alterations undertaken after January 26, 1992, shall be considered in determining if the cost of providing an accessible path of travel is disproportionate to the overall cost of the alterations.
